2007 Event Details

Your LMC is delighted to announce the result of the 7th Annual LMC Golf Challenge held on 7th September 2006. The event was held in at Bramall Park Park Golf Club and despite the sunshine golfers found points difficult to come by during the afternoon.

2005 winner, Dr Nic Devine once again saw his name added to the trophy winning with a solid 37 points, whilst another two time winner, Dr Keith Richardson came in second on 32 points. Dr Peter Carne came 3rd with 30 points.

2006 Event Details

Your LMC is delighted to announce the result of the 6th Annual LMC Golf Challenge held on 6th October 2006. The rain in the week leading up to the event almost forced the event to be cancelled as Bramall Park Golf Club was closed. Fortunately, at the last minute we were able to enjoy an afternoon's golf at the nearby Bramhall Golf Club.

The event was won by Mark Gallagher who scored an impressive 36 points from the 15 holes counting for the competition. In second place was John Swarbrick from Heaton Moor (27 points), whilst 2004 winner, Rob Beardsall took 3rd prize with 26 points.

2005 Event Details

Your LMC is delighted to announce the result of the 5th Annual LMC Golf Challenge held on 23rd September 2005 at Davenport Golf Club.

Stockport GPs enjoyed an afternoon of golf in the sunshine after the morning rain had cleared. Nic Devine improved on his third place finish in 2004 to win this year's event and also win Nearest the Pin. Now retired, Heaton Moor GP, Dr Moola finished 2nd whilst Paul Stevens finished 3rd and took the longest drive prize.

2004 Event Details

Your LMC is delighted to announce the result of the 4th Annual LMC Golf Challenge held on 3rd September 2004 at Reddish Vale Club.

Reddish Vale Golf Course lived up to its tough reputation as Stockport GPs enjoyed an afternoon of golf in the sunshine. Only 3 golfers scored 30 or more points with Bredbury's Dr Rob Beardsall scoring an excellent 35 points to take the trophy. Last year's runner up, Dr Peter Carne finished 2nd once again whilst Dr Nic Devine, on his home course, finished 3rd for a second time. With no-one reaching the green on the nearest the pin hole, two holes will be chosen at next year's event!

2003 Event Details

Your LMC is delighted to announce the result of the 3rd Annual LMC Golf Challenge held on 19th September 2003 at Denton Golf Club

Despite the wet conditions some excellent golf was played by competitors at Denton Golf Club with 4 players scoring 40 or more points. On the day Dr Keith Richardson (winner in 2001) topped the order of merit with a new competition record 43 points, Dr Peter Carne and Paul Stevens both scored 41 points, however Peter took second prize by virtue of a better back 9.

2002 Event Details

Your LMC is delighted to announce the result of the 2nd Annual LMC Golf Challenge held on Friday 13th September 2002 at Hazel Grove Golf Club

Friday 13th September proved lucky for Val Cording's (LMC Lay Secretary) husband, Bernard who played as a guest in the LMC Annual Golf Challenge at Hazel Grove Golf Club. Bernard scored an impressive 41 points, whilst last year's winner, Dr Keith Richardson finished 2nd and Dr Nic Devine completed the top three.

2001 Event Details

Participants enjoyed an afternoon of Golf at Heaton Moor  Golf Club on 21st September with Cheadle Hulme's Dr Keith Richardson taking 1st prize. Chris Davies completed a unique treble for the week taking 2nd Prize & Longest Drive just 2 days after his wife gave birth!!
