25 January 2002 Wyeth Deal Best - Solvay Second Stockport
LMC is pleased
to advise that the tenders to supply the Greater Manchester Flu vaccine
consortium for 2002 have now been received. All
practices will be sent a schedule showing the details of the two
successful bidders by their LMC during week commencing 28th January 2002.
It is clear that this year the tender from Wyeth is the best
offer, significantly better on profit per dose with similar additional
terms and conditions including for the first time from Wyeth a 10% Sale or
Return Policy. (In such instances a cheque will be raised and issued to
practices following return.) Once
again both the potential profit to practice and the terms achieved by the
consortium are more competitive than a single practice buying alone. As
last year it has been decided to accept both the best and second best
tenders to give practices the option of splitting their order. This year
we will offer practices the option of either tender, a 50/50 or 75/25
split between the respective suppliers. Should
you wish to participate in this years Consortium, practices should
complete the form distributed by their LMC indicating both the quantity of
vaccines required and supplier preference and return it to Paul Stevens at
Stockport LMC by March 15th 2002. Practices
who have returned Solvay flu vaccines from last year, may wish to choose
Solvay for at least part of their order this year to take advantage of
credit notes given. 04 January 2002 Tender Papers for 2002 Issued Stockport LMC is pleased to advise that invitation to tender papers for the 2002 flu consortium were sent to all suppliers of flu vaccine in the week prior to Christmas. Cut off date for receipt of tenders is noon 25th January. Practices have no need to place orders during the tender period as the deals currently on offer from the reps will be improved upon by the consortium |
